CEO of Image Plus Consultancy, Kisha Anderson, says renovation on the company’s new flagship location in Kingston should be completed by December 2025.
Speaking on Taking Stock with Kalilah Reynolds, Anderson said the move is a big step forward for the company, and will allow them to offer new services and expand their current offerings.
Image Plus which trades as Apex Radiology raised almost half a billion dollars through an initial public offer at the end of 2022.
Anderson said most of the IPO funds were used to purchase the property for their new location.
“We realized that we wanted a permanent home for our head office location in Kingston,” she said.
“It’s at 33 Lady Musgrave Road, which is directly opposite where the AC Hotel is now. We think it’s a really great location for us and for average Jamaicans who take public transport. It’s a very easy public transport route. If we think of where hospitals are, it’s not in the heart of New Kingston, it’s not in the heart of Crossroads or Half-Way Tree, so it’s a pretty good access point as well. Whether you’re coming from University Hospital, from KPH, or even as far as Princess Margaret, we think it’s a great location,” she added.
The new building will be replacing Apex’s Winchester Road location and is set to open by December 2025. This new facility will also expand Apex's services to include Interventional Radiology, a type of imaging used for minimally invasive procedures like lung, liver, and breast biopsies.
“By offering that, we’re going to be able to accommodate many more cases,” Anderson added.
